Japanese Cake Breads

Anpan contains Ogura bean jam and is fermented by Japanese Sake leaven. Japanese bakery Kimuraya started selling it in 1875. Anpan is covered with poppy seeds on its top. Vinegar tinted cherry petals are put on Sakuraanpan. Jampan was made by Kimuraya in 1900. Creampan was made by Nakamuraya in 1904. Melonpan and Chococorne was made after that.

Chococorne[Photo Chococorne]This unique shape cake bread is also Japan origin. Chocolate is push into the bread after baking the dough.
